AliYah Academy has a traditional cap and gown
commencement ceremony in Knoxville.
This optional ceremony is an extra opportunity to recognize your student's achievement. Your transcript and diploma are already included with your Senior membership.

Check-in and student board set up at 4:00pm
Rehearsal starts at 4:15pm
Doors open to guests at 5:30pm
After the Ceremony there will be time for
fellowship, photography and refreshments
until 8:30 pm.

This is an opportunity to audition for student speaker or talent for the graduation.
This is a chance to encourage your peers and acknowledge your Parents and Mentors.
Call to set a time for your audition after signing up for the Graduation Ceremony.

You are required to:
​​​​​

Order your Shiny, Royal Blue cap and gown, to be shipped to your home before the event.
​

Upload 3 student pictures for a slideshow that will be played during the ceremony and given to the students as a memento. More about the slideshow at the bottom of the page. Upload these on your account under "Files". Deadline April 1st

Write a short 2-4 sentence bio of the student highlighting achievements, hobbies, interests, passions, future goals, or whatever stands out about your student. These are usually written by the parent and should be in a third-person perspective. These will be read as your child crosses the stage and you, the parent, present the diploma and get your picture taken. Upload to your account under "Files". Deadline April 1st

Wear business/dress attire, as this is a formal event. Graduates should wear business/dress attire under their graduation gown with black dress shoes.

*Optional* Create a student board if desired to highlight any achievements, hobbies, or interests to be displayed in the entrance lobby at graduation.

*Optional* Start preparing your Speech/Song and be ready to audition in April, if you are interested in being the student speaker or Student Talent at the ceremony.

**A link to purchase your Shiny, Royal Blue cap and gown is provided here. You will need to pick the color Royal Blue. The tassel color is your choice. These need to be ordered right away to allow plenty of time to ship.
If you have one from a previous graduate, you may use it only if it is Shiny and Royal Blue for the uniformity of the event.

AliYah Academy graduates will receive their diploma and padded blue cover at the event. (This was included with your Senior membership)

Space is limited, 5 guests are included per graduate. 5 extra tickets are available at $10 each. After March 26th more tickets may be available to purchase as space allows based on the graduating class. Call the Homeschool Resource Center to purchase additional tickets.

The slideshow is always loved.
This gives a small glimpse of who each graduate is and what is important to them.
Usually there are three photos per graduate,
one from early childhood,
one from the middle of their childhood, and
one from their high school years, unless your graduate would rather have all high school photos (Senior Photos).
When choosing the photos to submit please keep photo quality in mind as they will be projected on a large screen.
